1ST WOMEN OF THE LENS FILM DIGITAL BROADCAST FESTIVAL – ROLES
We want all our visitors to have a fantastic experience as they visit the Festival and the support from staff and volunteers is crucial to this.
Some of the tasks includes ushering visitors to screenings, managing brochure distribution, hosting and production.
You don’t have to be experienced in the film festival circuit and/or industry, but in the first instance you should be outgoing, eager to learn, people-friendly, be able to work as part of a team – as well as being able to use your own initiative.
You'll receive experience in working with independent cinema, independent filmmakers and film festival production. The experience would suit those looking at careers in event management, event production and hospitality.
OUR FESTIVAL WILL BE SUPPORTED THROUGH SOME OF THE FOLLOWING ROLES.
For that all-important experience for visitors you’ll be ushering and supervising visitors to events.
Social Media Marketing Assistants:
Promotional and e-marketing support, you’ll need to be experienced in the use of social media. You should be able to write copy appropriately across social media platforms. We’ll be looking at a lot of data to assess the performance of the Festival and visitor experience.
Panel & Hospitality Hosts:
The Festival will deliver themed panel discussions and Q&A with filmmakers. The responsibility here is host/chair panels which are in-depth, engaging and informative. To start, you should have an in-depth knowledge of UK film, digital and broadcast industries as well as excellent presentation skills.
