Synopsis : 

Injured, a returning champion and young team captain struggles to keep his team in the running of the biggest sports event of the year in Martinique.

Stéphanie Saxemard is a Martinican filmmaker. For the past ten years, Stephanie has lived between England, Europe and the Caribbean. After a MA in Human Rights from the University of London, Stéphanie worked in NGOs as a project manager for a few years. In 2011 she flew to Egypt and made her first attempt at documentary filmmaking during the Egyptian Revolution.

"...My intention when making this film was to allow the audience to take the time to witness what is truly at stake within this sport. During the week of shooting, I got to rediscover aspects of my culture and my people that I had forgotten. The dedication, the determination, the spirituality and the humanhood that the characters of the film show are an integral part of the Martinican culture and this sport is one of the last remaining proof of that..."
