Synopsis :

Brenton Brown has spent most of his childhood in care homes. He’s unable to express his emotional frustration and becomes a recluse as he ponders thoughts of rejection, abandonment and ager. That is until his social worker, Mr Lewis receives a letter from his estranged mother requesting to meet. Only meeting his biological mother can provide answers to Brenton's burning questions, a meeting which provides explosive consequences. Set in 1970s/1980s Brixton, south London, this short film is based on the landmark 1999 novel by award-winning author, Alex Wheatle.
